The FBHA Justice Division serves as a liaison to the Department of Corrections on regulatory issues. Members in the Justice Division also develop policy and funding recommendations presented at the state and national levels. Members also take the lead on promoting innovate new practices in the areas of diversion, transitions, and medication-assisted treatment.
Identifying the Mission
Advocate for the expansion of mental health and substance use disorder services and funding for offenders; promote innovative strategies to divert offenders with behavioral health disorders; support initiatives to treat incarcerated offenders; and promote specialized re-entry initiatives for this target population.
Developing the Plan
