ER Intervention
Share |

The ER Intervention Project seeks to develop processes and relationships between hospitals and community service providers that will enable hospitals to provide a robust referral to treatment and other services through a person-to-person link (warm handoff).

This two-year project will be carried out in collaboration with the Florida Hospital Association Research and Education Foundation (FHAREF) and Emergency Medicine Learning and Resource Center (EMLRC). The project will identify best practices for integrating behavioral health care with emergency departments and developing training modules to be used around the state to give practitioners the tools needed to create a bridge between emergency departments and community substance use disorder treatment agencies.

This project is funded through the generosity of the Aetna Foundation.
