Children & Adolescent Division
Share |

FBHA’s Children & Adolescent Division was formed in late 2017. Its members work to develop strategies to support healthy families by identifying avenues to improve how we provide and fund services for children and adolescents. The Division seeks to take a critical look at what exists, what works, and develop new service strategies by building partnerships among the members and other organizations that interact with children and adolescents.

The Children & Adolescent Division includes three workgroups to better align the efforts of its members:

  • Residential Treatment Workgroup
  • Non-residential Workgroup
  • Prevention Committee

Identifying the Mission

Promote strategies, policies, and systems that support healthy children, adolescents, and families using prevention, community wellness initiatives, and effective behavioral health services for Florida’s families.

Developing the Plan

The Children & Adolescent Division has identified the following goals:

Goal 1: Improve substance abuse and mental health treatment for children, adolescents, and families

Goal 2: Expand school-based behavioral health services

Goal 3: Promote strategies that increase engagement of children, adolescents, and families
