The Therapeutic Alliance is the collaboration and the affective bond between the individual seeking services and therapist. The development and continued maintenance of the therapeutic relationship is a primary component of the individual’s change and therapeutic success. The essential qualities for developing rapport are trust, non-judgmental stance, genuineness, and empathy. This therapeutic relationship explores the thoughts, beliefs, feelings, experiences, and needs of the individual.

This presentation will delve into the myriad of components that generate a successful therapeutic alliance between the individual seeking services and the therapist.
