Addressing Substance Use in Florida Colleges: the scope of the problem, evidence-based approaches and best practices.

Substance use in college students has been an issue for many generations. Several high-profile deaths at colleges combined with a heightened awareness of mental health disorders in college-age youth have led to increasing resources being brought to bear to address the issues. Still, substance abuse and mental illness remain poorly identified and treated on our college campuses. Participants in this webinar will learn the scope of the problem, the evidence base for interventions and best practices for preventing and treating substance use and mental health disorders in the college population.

Who should attend?
This webinar is designed for clinicians, behavioral health professionals, clinical supervisors, program managers, prevention agencies, community coalitions, Certified Recovery Support Specialists (CRSS), Certified Recovery Peer Specialists (CRPS), and executives in substance abuse and mental health agencies, Managing Entities, and DCF program staff.
