The purpose of the grant is to improve behavioral health outcomes and provide supports to children and youth with serious emotional disturbances and their families. The goal of the Florida CMHSOC is to have a system of care that is family driven, youth guided, community-based and culturally and linguistically competent. This teleconference meeting is one in a series of three which are designed to explain core concepts related to the CMHSOC. During this teleconference meeting, the presenters will provide description of how Florida is currently implementing the CMHSOC grant.

The situation is even more difficult for parenting youth to care for themselves. This webinar will highlight how two programs in Miami-Dade County have formed a fruitful partnership to provide safe and affordable housing and comprehensive wrap-around services to former foster youth aged 18-23, with special emphasis on individualized research-informed educational and career support, and intensive, in-home work with parenting teens.
