Event Description: A goal of the Florida Department of Children & Families Substance Abuse Program Office is to encourage providers to implement with fidelity evidence-based substance abuse prevention and treatment practices that promote safety, well-being, and self-sufficiency. Individuals from community coalitions and substance abuse, mental health and prevention providers, with expertise in process improvement and specific evidence based practices, volunteer to conduct site visit for provider agencies. Agencies conduct a self review of an evidence based practice in use at their agency using the Fidelity Monitoring Protocol and the Client Review Checklist prior to the site visit. Based on the site visit process, the peer mentors provide feedback and technical assistance as needed to the agency staff.
