Sponsored by the Florida Department of Children and Families, this year’s conference theme, Moving Forward: explore and change the lens with which you view the world, speaks to Florida’s commitment to advance the use of evidence-based approaches for the prevention and treatment of substance abuse in culturally diverse populations. The conference will highlight the growth in our knowledge of practices that result in positive individual, family and community outcomes and our commitment to investing in “what works”.

The conference plenary sessions and workshops will focus on evidence-based practices and model programs that have shown the greatest level of effectiveness with different populations and in different settings for five key areas; Families, Health, Justice Involved, Co-occurring and How do we move forward.

The conference content is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to identify and use evidence-based practices effectively and to facilitate a peer learning community that is actively engaged with Florida’s diverse individuals, families and communities.
