2010 Annual Conference

The Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association (FADAA) and the Florida Council for Community Mental Health (FCCMH) are teaming up to present the 2010 Joint FADAA and Florida Council Annual Conference - Creating a New Vision: The Path to the Future. The conference will take place at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, August 11 - 13, 2010.

2010 Best Practices Recognition Program

Each year FADAA coordinates the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) “Best Practices Recognition Program” which identifies programs that exemplify “best practice” methods in substance abuse prevention and treatment services in Florida. Any program licensed by DCF to provide substance abuse prevention, intervention or treatment services, including “faith-based” programs, is eligible to apply for the Best Practices Award Program. Awardees will be recognized at the 2010 FADAA Annual Conference in Orlando, August 11-13, 2010.


FADAA On Demand
FADAA On Demand is an online platform offering interactive web meetings, web seminars/events, interactive training, information dissemination and shared online documents, applications and browsers, the ability to conduct online testing and polls and the capacity to record and archive seminars/events for later viewing.

Earn CEUs Online
The Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association (FADAA) offers outstanding expertise in a variety of courses for professionals serving the substance abuse prevention and treatment field. You can take each course at your own pace and along the way earn continuing education credits. Learn more.

Resource Center
FADAA serves as Florida's RADAR (Regional Alcohol and Drug Awareness Resource) Center for alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATOD) information. Visit the Resource Center often for: library and reference materials, professional development resources, the Florida Community Coalition Web site, statewide process improvement resources, and more.

Detox Providers
Providing of detoxification services presents a unique set of issues and concerns. To assist detox providers in networking, FADAA has a webpage designed to share information including program descriptions, resources and a list of upcoming events. Learn more.
